Rajiv Gandhi Shramik Kalyan Yojana

Under this scheme, individuals registered with ESI for three or more years, who become unemployed due to factory or workplace closures or suffer from disability, are entitled to:
a. Unemployment Allowances equivalent to 50% of wages for up to 2 years.
b. Medical care for themselves and family members from ESI Hospitals during the period they receive unemployment allowance.
c. Professional training for skill enhancement, including travel allowances provided by ESIC.

Wage Coverage

ESIC registration ensures that 70% of the total wage is provided for any certified illness, limited to a maximum of 91 days per year.
