    How to File a Consumer Complaint

    1. Send a Notice Highlighting the Issue

    Write to the manufacturer or seller explaining the issue you had with their product or service. Talk to a lawyer if your claim is above ₹10,000.A formal notice from their side has to be sent on your behalf to show that you’ll be taking legal action.

    2. Wait for the Vendor's Response

    The company may reach out to you after the notice has been sent.If you don’t recieve a response within 15 days, usually, you might as proceed to the consumer forum.

    3. Choose the Right Consumer Forum

    Based on the claim amount, you can select the right consumer forum. You or a representative can file a complaint with the districtu forum or state/national commission. The process can take anywhere between six to eighteen months, so be prepared for that.

    4. Submit a Written Complaint
